Exciting news! The Urban Wilderness Program is gaining more media attention, with a recent article on Chicago’s Daily Herald website highlighting our partnership with The Center for Conservation Leadership. Following the successful boatbuild at Cristo Rey St. Martin, Urban Wilderness will be traveling back to Chicago to build a canoe with students from the “Waukegan to College” initiative. This program has helped strengthen the Waukegan community by providing academic support and preparing students for higher education.
